It's My History, Too! is anticipated to be an important resource
available for Grade 4 Social Studies education in Alberta schools.
It's My History, Too! will provide students and the public with
an in-depth look into the struggles and triumphs of Albertans
with developmental disabilities and their families over the past
100 years, adn how their unique history fits into the history
of Alberta as a whole.
With your help, It's My History, Too! will inform and enlighten.
It will also:
- Teach about the benefits and necessity of diversity
- Redefine and strengthen Alberta's history
- Celebrate people of all abilities
- Explore the historical experiences of those whose existence is so often ignored
- Promote reflections on history from different perspectives
- Encourage inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities in society
